Revolutionizing the Legal Discipline
Our Firm exists to ensure that those most impacted by the law lead the way in transforming the law—while working to eradicate the collateral effects of mass incarceration.
Our Firm is the first in the nation to provide legal externships to currently incarcerated law students and paralegals. Run in partnership with our Prison to Law Pipeline, these students work on real cases for individuals in the community while gaining tangible legal experience.
Our Firm is a training ground for currently and formerly incarcerated individuals and legal practitioners, creating innovative ways for those with lived experience to engage in legal work.
The Firm provides civil legal services to Pipeline participants, All Square Fellows and justice impacted Minnesotans. These services include, but are not limited to, pardons, commutations, expungements, human services licensing and business formation support. If you have questions about these services, please contact us.
Guided by community input, our Firm plans to partner with private law firms to undertake impact litigation related to the collateral effects of mass incarceration.
The Firm collaborates with Mitchell Hamline School of Law’s Reentry Clinic on civil legal cases. Student attorneys work directly on Firm cases to expand its reach and impact on the community.
